We have separate portfolios for both single and married couples. There are two portfolio versions. First, we offer a "Mini" Will Portfolio version that is the minimum requirement to have a Will and the most important set of "Arizona" Power of Attorney documents. The second version is our complete (full) version. This portfolio has estate asset documentation sheets, all necessary Arizona Power of Attorney documents, an Arizona Living Will, etc. The Legacy Will Portfolio is a lot lower in price than our "Trust" Portfolio and may best suit your needs if you, generally, have a smaller, "basic" estate without complicated assets. If probate is required upon your death, the costs and procedures associated with with this supervised estate settlement process can be kept to a minimum in most cases. We can also help you avoid probate in conjunction with, or in some cases, in replacement of your Will Portfolio, Beneficiary Deed planning and preparation, as well as Bank Payable Upon Death (POD) account planning services are also available. Both of these modern planning tools involve quite simple "Beneficiary" forms or documents to eliminate the need for probate in some cases. Also, our firm follows all Arizona statutes and their updates and revisions to prepare the legal document instruments contained in The Legacy Will Portfolio. This is done under Arizona statutes that allow "Non-lawyer" legal document preparation firms to legally prepare documents. Additionally, this portfolio contains complete estate asset inventory documentation sheets, all Arizona Power of Attorney documents, etc. to fill 15 separate sections and is bound in a fancy zippered leather-like binder! This complete portfolio has every conceivable legal document you could think of - and many you haven't thought of - all in one convenient source. As an Arizona resident, if you have less than $ 75,000* in Gross Estate asset value, or your estate does not exceeds this amount, then you should investigate this portfolio further. Note:
This service is offered to Arizona residents only! Why do I need a Legacy Will Portfolio? Well, technically, you don't! The state of Arizona has some default statutes for you if you don't feel the need for professionally prepared ones. Of course, they may give your property to the wrong people and your kids (if minors) to the one sibling you would never consider as a guardian! But you can be pro-active and design a plan to cover all the contingencies of life...and death. With almost 200 pages (married couple) of documents and instructions, the Legacy Will Portfolio can help remove the stress and worry about what happens if you become disabled in the future, or when you pass away. Oh, there is one requirement we insist on in order to prepare your documents: You must still be ALIVE! So please, don't procrastinate on this once you are convinced it will benefit you!
To
Current Clients: If your General Power of Attorney document has a date older than 12/99, we need to revise it under the new Arizona statutes that drastically changed recently. If you have a sizable IRA ($50,000 or more), almost ALL of the IRS rules have changed affecting distribution rules! You may need to draft a provision in your Legacy Will Portfolio to take advantage of these new rules! And the new tax law passed in June 2001 means your Legacy Will may also need an update, since drastic changes have taken place starting January 1, 2002, to increase the estate exemption amount to much higher limits and repeal the Federal Estate Tax by 2010! Of course, all other changes in life dictate the need for an update, codicil or consultation. If you have a new child or grandchild, if you have a new pet, if you have had a death in the family, if you have received an inheritance, if you are about to retire, etc., etc. - then you may need to give us a call and come in and talk about it.
